  • Ages 6-8: Copywork, Setting and Character study work, play activities centered on key events in the plot, and drawing/coloring pages

  • Ages 9-11: Copywork, Setting and Character study work, printable guides on setting as character, plot study and activities, and a final essay on characterization in the novel

  • Ages 12+: Copywork, Setting and Character study work, printable guides on setting as character, plot study and activities, and a final essay on literary analysis of the novel

Reading for Enjoyment studies will always include:

  • Plot Study - This is so important, and our included plot charts allow you to read any version of the book!

  • Character Study - the characters in the wind and the willows are a wonderful intro to character study for any age

  • Setting Study - setting as character, time, and place are all covered in this story.

  • Poetry having to do with the story (Setting focus in Wind in the Willows study)

  • Art Study - studying setting of the story through the mediums of watercolor and etchings
